Lake Lure Bottomless Pools and Waterfalls
Lake Lure is known for being an excellent getaway
and a place of abundant natural beauty. With its
serene landscapes and fun things to do, Lake Lure is

they were such a popular attraction, it is expected
that they may reopen at some point. The three separate
bottomless pools were created over thousands of
years as water from the waterfalls carved out the
sediment. Each of the three pools has its own
waterfall feeding into it and there are several
hiking trails nearby to enjoy as well. The area is located just
off Hwy 64/74 behind the Arcade Building.
Another beautiful place to enjoy the waterfalls in
the area is around Chimney Rock Park.
The gorgeous 404-foot Hickory Nut Falls is one of
North Carolina’s tallest waterfalls and a must see!
